Training

The IMPROVING PERFORMANCE method is designed to make communication between athlete and trainer simple and effective. This is why it is divided into steps that allow the performance progress to be monitored constantly, being precise and effective.

STEP 1: PERSONAL INTERVIEW

Introductory interview aimed at agreeing on the goals to be achieved, and the training methods.

STEP 2: EVALUATION TEST

Evaluation Tests make it possible to know the initial state of fitness, to identify the correct work rhythms, to understand the physiological characteristics of each individual athlete, and to monitor training-induced improvements over time.

A valid Medical Certificate for Competitive Activity must be shown before any tests are carried out.

STEP 3: DEVELOPMENT OF TRAINING TABLES

OTB is convinced that an athlete needs care and precision.

This is why OTB is committed to developing training tables that are flexible according to the weather forecast and can therefore be modified according to external conditions; according to the psycho-physical state of the athlete, the possibility of changing training locations, training partners, recovering from injuries and illnesses, facing forced stops, and making up for sudden lack of time due to external or work-related causes.

All tables are part of a programme that can range from annual preparation to preparation for a competition or a seasonal collaboration.

4TH STEP: TRAINING FEEDBACK

OTB believes that constant discussion with the athlete is the basis for any success. The feedback from the athlete allows OTB staff to analyse the training data and to constantly update themselves on the conditions perceived by the athlete.

STEP 5: ANALYSIS OF TRAINING DATA

OTB analyses all the data the athlete collects during his or her training, compares it in order to construct the next tables and future training sessions optimally according to the psycho-physical condition of the athlete. All workouts are analysed with the best programmes available on the market (TrainingPeaks, Golden Cheetah, Self Loops, Garmin Connect, SRMX, Power Agent, Polar Coach).
